Well, those of you who know me, know that I'm a terrible procrastinator. Here we are, less than a month from the government imposed deadline for passports. What do my husband and I do on probably one of the busiest days ever?? Head to Kitchener to get our (and our 3 kids) passports taken care of. I have a HUGE TIP for anyone needing a passport, actually two tips.
Complete your application on-line through the Passport Canada website. It's quick and easy. You still need to print it out and have your guarantor sign it BUT when you go to the passport office you basically get put to the front of the line! There was at least a two hour wait for those with regular applications. There was only one person ahead of us inline for the "online" applicants. It was awesome.
Go to the Kitchener passport office. Compared the 4-5 hour wait times in Hamilton and Mississauga it was 1.5 hours (or 5 minutes in you use my first tip).
Now that we'll be able to travel, I have got the itch to go somewhere... warm!
